  1. In my opinion, keep out of this and let the authorities do what they have to. Yes, you have given them your statement - which is morally right to do as it is tax payers money. However, personally not something that I would have done and I certainly would not be attending court.
  2. Nystagmite is only making you aware that if you are dismissed that the usual sanctions will not apply. No malice in this, but as you rightly state you are disabled and possibly to ill to work. If you are dismissed you will not have any sanctions to worry about. This is your entitlement.
  3. I think its either 26 or 28 weeks SSP. There is lots of support on this sight with filling in ESA forms.
  4. Thats all that is required. Personally when I did it I called DLA who took statement over phone. They then opened up an enquiry, I received a letter about 2 weeks later saying thank you for information, however no change in benefit.
  5. Im so familiar with T&C's as its an interest that I have, I was only making you aware of the facts. This site is here for us all to learn things from and all I was doing was clearly telling you the facts. Im glad that you are getting your money back - therefore a result for you
  6. Once you have had all your sick benefit from work your work will write to you and issue you a SSP1. This will then entitle you to claim ESA which will then be assessed by the DWP. Have you asked your work to make reasonable adjustments? Is this possible with your pain and disability?
  7. I think you will find T&C's of Comparision sites state that they may check your file.
  8. If there is no change in her care needs then there is no change. However, she does need to advise she is working however unless her job contradicts her condition it will have no effect. An example of this is I started PT work in an office and it did not change my DLA. DLA is not income based, but you have a duty to tell them of her work. She may be entitled to Disability Tax Credits and a return to work bonus as well.
  9. Thank you, will get sent of tomorrow and as always keep this site updated cheers
  10. Not a valid point, I dont work for sky and cant be bothered with them, but they are clear on their terms and conditions.
  11. Fair points, however I stand by by statement on PAC codes, they can be issued at anytime during contract term and indeed ported to new network at anythime no restrictions whastsoever. As for the not getting charged for the remainder of the contract I don't necessary agree with that and I will show you a quick scenario. Customer sign up to 2 year contract (fixed term @ £40 per month = £1000 assumed revenue from this customer. Customer gets iPhone 4S 16GB . COST £410 = VAT so roughly £500 Dealer needs to be paid commission @ £250 (ish) There is now nothing left in the deal once you factor in marketing, overheads etc. So while your argument is good for the consumer it would not work. Possibly on a SIM only but when a piece of kit is given away the compnay need to re-coup the cost of the handset. Consumers sign up to a fixed term contract and unless their is any signal issues then they should be bound by that. If I take out a 3 year fixed loan with my bank Im bound by that.
  12. Looks to me that 3 were trying to get a new customer which is fine and what they said is correct, however when your other half asked 02 for the PAC what they said is correct. They legally should have released the PAC code however are withintheir rights to charge the remainder 3 months on the contract. A PAC code can be asked at month 1 or indeed any month, however a charge will be levied for the remainder of the contract. In theory if you have had various PAC codes and they were live you could port where ever you want. Anyway good having this debate, its good for others to get advice. I have worked in telecoms for 12 years and Im pretty sure (I think) of the regs. and best practice across the industry !
  13. Try facebook helpers or alternatively Orange executive office on 08708 700862
  14. Customer can port a number anutime during contract as long as PAC code from other network is under 28 days old or has been re-issued. Standard condition I deal with everyday. Possibly not OFCOM reg but best practise and adhered to.
  15. All networks have a responsibility to PORT. The exception to the rule is porting to own network. IE T-Mobile to Tesco.
  16. Details are as follows 26th Feb 2012 damp coming though to my back dining room. Insurance company called. I called a plumber at a cost of £210 to locate the leak. (26th Feb) Water still coming into my house and leak is advised coming from neighbours house. I contact neighbour 26th Feb and he said he does not have leak. My plumber returns on 26th Feb and drills a whole in my floor to allow water to drain outside. I have to take 4 days off work @£15.10 an hour (32 hours in total) 27th Feb called Environmental Health who come out and state leak coming from neighbours house. They contact neighbour and he advises he will contact insurance company. 28th Feb Neignbour becomes unreasonable and will not talk or discuss matter and leaves house early daily and returns early hours of morning. Northern Ireland water come out on 29th Feb and serve a 28 day notice on the property for wasting water. I telephone owner (Mr Edwards) at least 5 times per week. He passes me to his sister who says insurance company will deal with. Environmnetal Health issue legal proceedings for Mr Edwards to go to court on 22nd May 2012. My insurance company now arrange to fix the majority of the problem, Land registry can not confirm who owns the house althou its assumed Mr Edwards accoding to Rates Agency. I have had to move out of my house since 1st May 2012 while the insurance company dry out my house. Insurance compnay pay me £15 a day for me and my daughter to stay at family members. Now been adviced by insurance compnay that joyces (spelling)??) need replaced at a cost of £590 which I have to pay. Neighbour has now moved from the property and his house is still damp. Insurance company advise they can not dry one of my rooms due to damp still caused by neighbours. I decide to get work started and advise I will be liable for this room. Northern Ireland water obtain warrant and permantly shut suppy to neighbours house. I want to claim for my loss and also anything else I can, its been 4 months since this all started and Ive been left out of pocket not been able to cook meals, having useof my house etc.
  17. Thanks I will get the details done tonight and post them here tomorrow
  18. Accounts still not up to date. Bank is allowing withdrawels and branch is ok. Problem is not knowing where I stand. Looks like it may be resolved over next 2 days as credits from 27th June now showing and anytime banking now working. My salary still not showing !
  19. It shows that its settled and thats them reporting properly. You could ask them to remove it, which the wont ! You could put a statement on your credit report stating you cancelled within cooling of period.
  20. How old is your PAC code, if its under 28 days and your account is still live transfer it to a PAYG network (not T-mobile or Tesco) then get PAC code again and take from PAYG network to tesco ! You might have to put £10 on a PAYG network but its worth it to retain your number. T-mobile are probably saying they cant port to the same network. Tesco is a virtual network and while your right on what you say on porting number, this is probably quickest way to deal with it. Then once you have your number on Tesco complain in writing to T-Mobile to get your losses recovered.
  21. Hi Folks, Feb 2012 water appears in my back dining room and I make contact immediately with insurance company. Im advised my policy does not cover "locate and search" so I get a plumber who states that the problem is my neighbour. I contact my neighbour who says he will contact his insurnace company. Neighbour keeps putting me off for 2 months and then he moves out of house. House is no derelect. My insurance company instruct builders to dry out my house and fix everything. Walls taken back to brick and Im advised that my floor boards are not covered? Water company eventually get warrant and disconnect my neighbout from the mains supply. I now wish to claim of my neighbout for time off work, money I had to pay plumber, and all out of pocket expenses. The company doing the work on behalf of insurance company - have advised they can not dry my house any longer as neighbours house still an issue. They want me to write to them advsing them Im aware they cant dry out any longer. So in short I want to claim all my out of pocket expenses from my neighbour. Can anyone please help me putting a letter together so I can sent to him. also any direction would be appreciated. Thanks

  25. OP was aware what was happening, sky must have direct debit details or credit/debit card details for monthly payments. Easiest thing to do here is cancel card and loose a friend. http://www.sky.com/helpcentre/account-and-billing/payments-and-billing/change-your-payment-method/
