  1. Cheers Mr Bookworm, I have to laugh though cause I brought mine 2nd hand and before I sent it off noticed that it had noticably been opened. I got a replacement XBox back no questions :-/
  2. Im making a post on behalf of a works colleague... I had my XBox 360 repaired just before Xmas and told my friend about the service. He informed me that he had experienced the "3 Red Lights" on his XBox and logged a repair with XBox support and sent it off via UPS. A week later he received the XBox back but it was unrepaired, included in the box was a letter to inform him that the repair had not being carried out as it looks like the console had been tampered with. He reassures me he has never taken the faceplate off the console let alone opened it up. Obviously I know that the 3 Red Lights is a design fault and Microsoft offer an extended 3yr warranty on this issue but wondered where he stands in regards to refusing to repair the console? Is there anybody he can contact to dispute their claims etc..... I wrote him the following letter for him to send, hoping that it will help his case but cant find an email contact for him to send it too or a postal address...
  3. Im just about to send the above off to CapQuest in regards to the "Newly" added default they have decided to add to my credit file and to think I was nearly at the finish line.... what a complete and utter bunch of "&£^$&*"£(!(
  4. CapQuest - Twice issued Defaults against my account without giving me notice. Both times they have been duplicate entries (eg, default issued by Cap1, and by Capquest for same account, also for a Littlewoods account) Looking forward to ringing them this afternoon to tell them they have "illegally" added a default to my account and to inform them that an official complaint is going to be made by myself.
  5.:evil::evil::evil: Not a happy bunny at all!!! Capquest send me a letter to say that the Littlewoods account is on hold BUT have added a default to me Credit File (without notifying me!) - just checked my file online! So I again have 2 defaults on file C/O the Littlewoods account Im absolutely fuming! I have an appointment with my mortgage advisor next Tuesday and I have 3 defaults on file - none of which can be backed up by the companies who have added them (and 2 of which are for the same account) I think I might make a telephone call to Experian.
  6. I have Dr'd the following letter to send to Amber.... Please could somebody let me know if it will suffice?! Am I also able to charge the standard 8% as you would do if you were claiming from a banking institution? Thankyou
  7. "RESULT" I have just received an email from Credit Expert to inform me that Wescot have contacted them and informed them to "delete" the default they issued on my Credit File 2 down - 1 to go......
  8. I read this thread and thought.... I hope it has a happy ending Its just a shame that their actions put you in a position where spending an enjoyable / stressfree christmas with your family was not possible. Well done to all that offered their advice and I have to 2nd that this forum is GREAT!

  10. I cant seem to find the relevant letter that I need to send... Ive found the one re-Bank Charges which relates to the test case etc, but nothing in regards to reclaiming the charges from an insurance / finance company. Does anybody have a readily available template I could use "Please" I am soooooo looking forward to hitting Amber with this one
  11. Im here again I had a bit of an issue last year in regards to a CCJ being issued against me for a debt from Amber Select (see link below) http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/insurance-assurance-companies/150152-amber-select-geoffrey-parker.html I managed to get the money together and got the CCJ removed from my Credit File...... Now I want to bite back, for their total incompitance and get some money back "if" they have taken it unlawfully. When I finally received my statement of account I noticed one or two "charges" and wondered if I could claim them back? The charges are described as.... "Rejected Direct Debit Fee" = £15 x 2 "Default Notice Charge" = £30 "Debt Recovery Admin Charge" = £25 "Legal Administration Charge" = £100 Thankyou
  12. Thanks 42man.... I was getting abit worried as the feedback was a bit sparse and was worried that I would end up with egg on my face. I've received the following letter this morning off capquest c/o Littlewoods Account I have still heard nothing from Littlewoods direct or Wescot in regards to my enquiries
  13. me threads gone quiet Anybody able to offer any advice on the above?
  14. Well the letters went to CapQuest & H L Legal this morning..... It'll either rile them up even more or hopefully they will send it back to Littlewood's who will then say... OK OK Default removed (Here's hoping) Still nothing off Wescot, last time I heard from them was on the 16th Dec, saying they were contacting their client to get a copy of the issued default. Anybody know what I can do to gee them up so I can work at getting the default removed? SP
  15. After doing a bit of reading around, I have stumbled across a couple of threads with some useful info.... More noticably this one... http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/debt-collection-industry/129626-mrs-sharpman-littlewoods.html I noticed a letter on there that I could possibly forward onto CrapQuest / H L Legal in regards to the "debt" Will edit accordingly and will post this afternoon.... unless somebody tells me that it is not suitable?!
  16. Received a lovely letter today re - Littlewoods, "Dear Sir, We note with regret that you have chosen not to deal with this matter despite our previous communication endeavouring to assist you in coming to a satisfactory arrangement to settle this account without the need for legal action. It is therefore our intention to progress your account to our pre-litigation system where the relevant validations and checks will be completed. Your account will then be passed to our solicitors who may commence legal action on or around 05th Jan 2009." They say theyll get an Order of Court and will send the heavy boys round.... Now didnt Littlewoods say that the debt was not enforcable? I have also already received a letter from H L Solicitors in regards to the debt. Anybody let me know where I stand with CapQuest so I can give them a pleasure of a reply?
  17. Received an email off Experian to inform me that the default issued by CrapQuest c/o Crap1 is to be deleted "Finally!!!" Just the Littlewoods / Wescot ones now to sort.... Anybody?
  18. It looks like that my letter to Experian has now nudged the companies into contacting me..... 1 - Crapital One response, I received a letter of them "thanking me" for my recent corrispondance, They have contacted their credit file team and are satisfied that any adverse marks that were added to my file were removed in October and that no ammendment is necessary..... All I can add to that little number is "Why have I still got a default on my file c/o Capquest for the account" I contacted Capquest and they informed me I would need to speak to Crapital One?!?!? 2 - Littlewoods Following on from the letter I received from them (see post above) I have now received a letter from H L Legal informing me that the account has been passed to them and unless payment is received by the 29th Dec they will commence Court Proceedings again me?!?!? Hang on!!! Littlewoods informed me that the debt was "Unenforcable"?!? Make your bloody mind up 3 - Wescot Again "Thanking me" for the letter they received on the 25th October, and informing me that they will be contacting their client for a copy of the original default notice. So as I now see it I need to inform Crapital One that the default I am referring to is the one issued by CrapQuest for the account that is now settled and sorted..... just bloody remove the default I then need to inform Littlewoods that as the debt is not enforceable I require the default removing and stop hasseling me "The Scare tactics DO NOT WORK!!!" and finally just wait and see what Wescot supply me with? Anybody?!?
  19. The guys are absolute (Edit) I had the misfortune of them issuing me with a CCJ even though I had contacted them to arrange payment. I stuck it to them though and was fortunate enough to get the monies paid before the 28 days and had it removed from my file. DO NOT phone them, they are rude / abrupt and obviously look upon debtors as being the **** of the earth.
