Citi Financial & PPI Claim
StokiePotter replied to StokiePotter's topic in Payment Protection Insurance (PPI)
am I also right in thinking that this is the UK address as the "Local" branch is now non-existant :-/ SP -
Morning.... Following on from the failure of being able to reclaim my PPI from Endeavour / Freedom Finance / Bespoke, see here http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/payment-protection-insurance-ppi/200249-endeavour-loans-ppi-2.html, I am now even more determined to get my monies back from Citi Financial..... I already have my agreement at hand so dont feel the need to request my SAR, so here goes and finger's X'd Ill have more luck with this lol. The loan was taken out (jointly with an "ex" girlfriend) in May 2004 for £3.5K over 3yrs, with the addition of PPI @ £927. It was paid off in full on the 19th October 2004! Now when the loan was taken out we were asked about the PPI, I have a copy of the Q&A sheet that was completed when we saw the advisor and it does "Clearly" state that I explained my situation (full pay for 3 months and Life Assurance with another company) but still ended up walking away with Accidental & Sickness cover?!? I will get my "I want my money back" letter posted today and will keep this thread updated for reference purposes

Received my response today.... Echoing exactly what you said. I also decided to contact the FOS and they said exactly the same, 1 - Because the loan was taken out in 2004, it wasnt under certain regulations and... 2 - The company "Bespoke Finance" are based in Gilbraltar with no registered UK Offices Tw@ts!!!! At least I tired..... CitiFinancial next I think.... Another Stokie?!?! This site is full of us lol -

Received a huge "PACK" from EPF yesterday "Finally".... The covering letter basically informs me that the loan was sold by Freedom Finance and that EPF were only the brokers.... any issues regarding PPI need to be taken up with Freedom Finance :-/ Next step anybody? Im assuming the £10 I paid to EPF for my SAR is a 10er well wasted? -

Im back Right... Ive been calculating the days as I have not heard anything back off them as of yet (15th September). Upon "Double Checking" I didnt actually actually get the letter sent until the 13th July so if thats the case then I should have had a reply on or around the 4th September (this is NOT counting weekends). The cheque I sent was cashed on the 4th August so 40 days from that date will be the 25th September (Again, this is NOT counting weekends). Have I been too leanient and should I have counted weekends and bank holidays? if so then they are well overdue and if so, is there a letter I can send to inform them they are in breach of my request? Thanking you in advance, hi.send this http://www.consumerforums.com/resources/templates-library/48-bank-templates/129-data-protection-act-non-compliance-template-letters SAM Sam.... Finally got the Default removed (which they kindly added) and am awaiting receipt of a refund of monies paid My advice to people who are trying to get themselves on a even keel.... keep on at it, youll get there in the end -
Sending CCA's to Various DCA
StokiePotter replied to StokiePotter's topic in Debt Collection Agencies
Just an Update.... Full apology off Lowells, and also the removal of Default "RESULT!" Just Littlewoods to sort now, I have officially lodged a complaint with the FOS in regards to the fact that a default was added "Unlawfully" (No Official notification received of their intentions to add the Default) and default added without them being able to produce a valid CCA.... He has also confirmed that they will be refunding me the money that I had paid to them in regards to the account so "RESULT!" Again, thankyou for your pointers and advice, well see if the default gets removed and am waiting patiently on the refund -

Pritchrd1, Welcome to the site You are definately in the right place.... The easiest thing to do though is to start a new thread, this makes it easily identifiable for other people to stumble across it. I am having a complete and utter mare with Lowells / Red / H&L and whatever they like to call themselves so I sympathise with anybody who has to deal with these muppets. You say you have paid the debt off? do you have a record of payments etc.... Like I said, start up a thread and watch these happy "helpful" posters come along and advise you.... you cant go far wrong with the folks on here "Good Luck" -

The annoying thing is I pay these muppets £6.95 a month so I can keep a check of my Credit Report, they even offer to help if you have any issues.... Very helpful theyve been! Ill send an email over to them now to request the details of their complaints proceedure. Again, thanks for the pointers... I am just about to send the following... -

Experians reply to my email back to them is as follows.... I just wish I had the bottle to esculate the whole matter further as I am sure that Littlewoods actions are breaching regulations and "Credit Expert" are as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike -

Letter sent, and nothing back off them as of yet... I also contacted Experian in regards to the default that Lowells have lodged onto my Credit File, even though I was not notified of their intentions... just a couple of harrassing txts to remind me of a debt that I disputed last year, their reply is as follows... Experian have also informed me of the following... Id like to reply with the following 2 words "Absolute TOSH!!!" I was going to swear but thought better of it -

As well as contacting the FOS in regards to the matter, I have contacted Experian Direct to ask them to investigate the matter, I received a reply from them yesterday which went like this... and I have replied with the following... The form to the FOS has also been posted, so will sit and wait on their reply..... Finger's X'd eh -

Nothing back off them yet.... They have taken the £10 from out of my account though :-/ Will give them to the end of the week, then will give them a gentle nudge. -

Bump Lodged a complaint with the FOS today in regards to the matter as they informed me that the last letter I received was their final reply. Now obviously I am assuming that as they cannot supply me with a signed CCA, they are not allowed to add a default onto my Credit Report (which mysteriously has re-appeared ). Is it worth me sending them a letter to say "What are you playing at?!" -
