  1. Wouldn't of mattered about the bag anyway as they never put the return through, I have posted this on 3 boards and this is the first reply I have got, no one seems to know what to do including Orange who rather than try and resolve the issue see a chance to try and sell you something else. I just can't see how this can be legal to be honest, you buy an item that stops working 6 months down the line and Orange say sod you basically, so if I want to use my phone I will have to move home and change job?
  2. I took out a 24 month contract on Orange at the start of April 2010, got the phone and realised signal wasn't the best, only had 3 bars outside and 1 bar in, so phoned Orange the advisor told me best thing to do would be cancel the contract and put me through to returns, I had also arranged to port my number over from O2 and he said he would cancel that, so the returns guy arranged to have a returns bag shipped out. 2 days my number ported over after the guy saying he would cancel it, So I phoned up and he told me I need to phone O2, I phoned O2 who told me I need to phone Orange and I went back and forward and just decided to give up, I'd just get a new number. A month later still no bag received, I phoned up and apparently it was never done:-x and they wouldn't let me cancel, so all I could do was put up with the rubbish signal. In the last month I have gone from having poor signal to non existent and either home or work, I have tried several handsets and nothing, I phoned Orange just today and he checked the transmitter and told me nope all is fine however I am in a blackspot and shouldn't really get any signal, I asked what can I do, he tells me nothing, only option is to buy a Blackberry with UTM technology and make calls over internet. Where do I stand here exactly? This isn't good enough and Orange do not care, I had a similar issue when Apple released an update that rendered my 3G useless, simply didn't care.
  3. Exactly my point they are not doing anything, nor can they do anything, where do I stand? Argos will exchange the iPod but I could just stand in store returning them until they are out of stock as every 1 is the same
  4. I got an iPhone 3G in May time, come June Apple released IOS4 update which has effectively killed my phone, It crashes, is slow sluggish. I contacted Apple who wouldn't admit it was IOS4 that was the issue but they sent me a brand new replacement which came with IOS4 and is having the same issues, I have been phoning them steady from July and they say they can do nothing for me, they admit there is a fault but at the min there is nothing that can be done, I have had to resort to using my old Nokia phone as my iPhone is so unreliable, I have asked them to replace the phone with a 3GS and got told no, there is nothing they can do, and my provider Orange say there is nothing they can do so I am effectively stuck. As I used the iPod side of things on my iPhone alot my kids got me an iPod touch for my birthday as I was unable to use it on my iPhone, it came with IOS4 and is having the exact same issues, I have contacted them but after explaining the situation with my iPhone etc again short of exchanging there is nothing they can do, but as this problem effects all iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G its pointless exchanging again. I have posted on there help forums about these issues but they just remove my posts, where do I stand?
  5. I ordered a contract mobile a few weeks back didn't like it so contacted the company who cancelled the contract and collected the phone, Now few weeks later I receive a phone saying replacement:confused: I contacted the network who inform me that the contract is cancelled, and I contacted the company who sent the phone and again said the contract is cancelled. Does this fall under the unsolicited goods act 1971?
  6. Well may be in luck then, I have persons name and I got them to send me an email confirming what they were doing. This ws bought over the web by the way. Now what do I do?
  7. I ordered a contract handset from Phones 4 U on 15th, I got it on 16th, Comes the 17th I noticed the memory card had died, so I phoned phones 4 u and told them the issue, they told me to go and buy another one and they would send me a cheque for £10 to cover the replacement. So got another and it went fine for a day or 2 then it died to, Contacted phones 4 you I said I was fed up with this and wanted to return the handset, so they said someone from the head office would phone me back to arrange this. So 22nd someone called back, I said I wanted to cancel, they said they would send me an envelope to return the handset and if I wanted they would replace it with a brand new handset and send me £70 in compensation for the hassle I have had should I want to keep the contract on, Emailed over the weekend and they said the envelope was on its way, So today still nothing received so I phoned them again, They said I could now not cancel as the 7 day grace period is up and they could only send the phone away for repair and no sign of the £10 cheque for the new memory card or the £70 cheque. What can I do here? I think this is whats called getting screwed
  8. I ordered a phone from Orange, delivery was supposed to be yesterday 15th as it was next day via DPD Parceline. Yesterday evening it didn't arrive so phoned up, even though the tracking says NEXT DAY and delivery DATE 15th I was told "Aw because your in Northern Ireland that will be a 2 day service" Now it never said anything about this on Orange's website but gave them the benefit of the doubt but it was tracked at the delivery depot at 3am on 15th, So today tracking remains the same, last tracked on 15th at my delivery depot, so I phoned up DPD "Aw thats not on the van, it will be Monday" I mean what the hell is going on there? So I phoned Orange and informed them that there will be no one to sign for on Monday, she said "Ok shall I cancel the order" I said yes, "Ok" she said and had the cheek to just hang up without so much as a sorry, I paid £4.99 for delivery which I never received, should I be able to get this back?
  9. I got a new iPhone 3G in April, all was fine until Apple released IOS4 update, which has rendered 3G iPhones useless, constant crashing, call drops, battery issues, and it effects every iPhone 3G not just mine, the phone basically has not enough memory to support the upgrade. I have been onto Orange who put me through to apple, and told me to do various things, I had already done them like resetting the phone, but this only fixes it for a few hours, What can I do?
  10. Well I suppose I have no other choice do I? I find it amazing that you can be forced to pay for something you don't receive. I've never even had the luxury of making 1 call on T-Mobile.
  11. Right bit of an updated. T-Mobile have informed me I needed to go down the resolution route, which I did and there reply was "Mobile phones are not designed to be used in 1 location" Yes that is exactly what they said, which is why I presume their coverage checker on there website has 3 locations, which all 3 have gave false reading. BCW the debt collector has also been in touch, they are actually rather good, they understand the situation and actually agree with me to an extent but have been instructed by t-mobile to collect the debt. So I am no further forward, any further advice?
  12. When you enter into an agreement with T-Mobile we agree to provide you with telephone services That is taken from code of practice. Anyone any ideas what I can do next? Do I complain to CISAS
  13. I was in the process of doing this, but now with the bank charge drama where do I stand?
  14. Well I sent of for the deadlock letter, and in today lands an envelope with there Terms And Conditions, nothing else. I had a read, and right at the start of the terms and conditions of what they are to do is. We will provide you with telephone service - Well thats it snookered for a start, you can go into all the fine detail etc but basically they can not provide me with a service and have freely admitted this yet I am in the wrong.
  15. Is it just me who thinks this treatment is all rather harsh? I mean the damn thing didn't do as advertised, I complain, get given the run around, complain again same thing, complain again they basically say "F*ck you, we can't be bothered with this anymore, give me a default and sell to a debt collection agency"
  16. Great, so it doesn't matter a damn that I tried resolving this issue 3/4 months ago and they have done nothing for me? If I look at it this way, there part of the contract was to provide a service, something they have never done.
  17. Yes all well and good, but what do I do now?
  18. Well I sent of the letter last weekend asking if that was a deadlock letter, In yesterday arrives a letter stating contract has been terminated due to non payment, and that it will reflect on my credit file etc and that it will be passed to a recovery agency for the full contract amount. So what do we do now? They have obviously gave up listening to me.
  19. So do i go the dead lock route or what? Either way, I don't think there is any more point contacting T-Mobile, they have made perfectly clear thats it, we will do nothing for you. This damn thing has dragged on from August time, as I say I don't mind paying the cost of the handset as its £220-£250 if I remembr correctly, The cost of the 18 month contract is, £450
  20. What is a deadlock letter? This is what I have received
  21. Right, sent recorded delivery to T-Mobile head office, they are now playing dirty, they say, we have checked your coverage and you have excellent coverage in your area, total and utter bull, and I'm sure the techincal team will have records of my call and details, however they say that Mobiles.co.uk will let me out of the contract if I return the phone, Any further ideas? Or is there someone like ofcom or something I could complain to?
  22. This has dragged on for a couple of months now, getting the run around, I've not even had a bill since I started this, yet I look online and the balance is adding up, Its not even been passed to a debt collector, I'll be happy to take this to court anyway, If the judge rules in there favour fine I will pay that is no problem, its the point of the thing.
  23. All well and good, but service will not be restored as there is no coverage in this area, which is the whole problem
  24. Bit of an update, since I last posted the mobile had died due to me dropping it down the toilet, I have said to mobiles.co.uk I will pay the price of the handset £250 which is still cheaper than paying the contract they have avoided me, I have contacted t-mobile who again said "Nothing we can do" yet they haven't billed me in almost 3 months, something is going on. At the end of the day I thought paying line rental was because they provided you with a service, they cant do that for me.
