Our lot at work are already asking who wants to go to the christmas party!!

What?? Don't we have Halloween and bonfire night in between? Has anyone seen the fireworks out yet? Bet the scary costumes etc. are in shops or won't be long now.

In a way I'm glad that fireworks are available on other days/weeks/months etc. Just having them available in November was such a bore as there are many other occasions when a good 'Whizz Bang' makes the end of a perfect day. One thing I don't agree with is the power of fireworks today, seems as though there are no restrictions on what one can buy over the counter. Someone bought a 'Super Dooper' all bells and whistles firework to celebrate the birth of his daughter. Set it off, up it went, down it came, cleared everyone out of the garden, thru the conservatory window, straight thru the kitchen, ended up in the living room where it 'Blew Up' after it finished doing what it had to do, the house was wrecked and burning from one end to the other. Cost of firework...£150........Damage done....................priceless. Think I'll stick to sugar and weedkiller!

Sparklers are as bad, need welding gloves for them methinks. Agree with the power though. Always feel for the animals, used to be one night of the year, now is anytime. Council are really bad for that celebrating end of festivals etc. always seems to be 10 o'clock when all good people should be in bed well children anyway. Can never understand 'people' and I use that loosely, who find it funny to tie a firework to an animals tail - one day the worm will turn.

Happy Birthday WK!...:p

...lol...:D

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.

Blessed is he who in the name of charity and goodwill shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children.

And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.

And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

(Jules Winnfield)
