Hi James

I have a court date of 26/09/06 with First Trust. - I am quietly confident. In their Terms&Conds they actually state penalty charge which is contrary to the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts.

What does your solicitor think?

I am also chasing First Trust -- can you e-mail / post / fax etc me a copy of their terms & conditions which refer to "penalty charge"

I am currently pursuing First Trust for £849 of charges. They have just sent me the letter telling me that all charges are legal and to basically bog off. I replied telling them they have two weeks to either repay the charges in full or I am taking them to court.

 

Ulster Bank visa settled with me out of court. Not the full amount, but it was something.

 

Ulster Bank current account is still pending.

 

I also have an account with Abbey, but I am waiting a while before going after them as it will be a long procedure cause I have a loan outstanding with them

Just lodged my court appeal for the charges from First Trust.

yes plenty of ppl have got back their money from ft but you will need patience as they dont roll over easily.

Could someone please help, I sent off a letter to first trust for my bro, but I added in the 8% interest will this harm his claim in any way or should I resubmit his claim without the interest. Recieved a letter this morning saying they accepted the letter and dealing with it.

Lassie, I doubt it. If mine is anything to go by they are just gonna tell you to bog off anyway. Good luck with it though.

I have taken the First Trust for £1970 over the past three years. The are disputing the case and say that they are waiting for the outcome of the test case. I think I have just missed the bus, but I am going to seek legal advice on if I should continue. Will keep you informed
