  1. I have been told by a lady at the courts that the judgement may not even apply in N Ireland, as we are under a different jurisdiction. I fully intend to persue the matter as the FT have taked over £5500 in changes from me in the past 5 years. They have also continued to charge me even though they are waiting for the outcome of the test case. I will keep you informed of my progress.
  2. Hi Have gone through the procedure of getting statements and sending letters to bank. Finally put in Small Claim Court application in June. Courts out for the summer, then the test case rulling. The First trust are now disputing my claim and send me a letter stating that they were waiting on, and would abide by the rulling of the OFT case. This, as we all know, could be four to five years down the line. Any ideas about where to go now ??
  3. I have taken the First Trust for £1970 over the past three years. The are disputing the case and say that they are waiting for the outcome of the test case. I think I have just missed the bus, but I am going to seek legal advice on if I should continue. Will keep you informed
  4. Hi I have posted to the site before but it was a while ago, and now has gone I have been trying to reclaim my bank charges. So I will give you a quick rundown. June 2006 approached First Trust Bank for list of charges Told this would cost £10 per page, not informed about Data Protection act. Aug recieved last 5 years details after using the data protection act Jan 2007 Finally compiled charges for the past 5 years, came to £4900. Feb2007 Sent bank letter (from this forum) claiming back £1940 for unpaid DD and unpaid Cheques over the last 2 years. The reason I did this is that the small claims court in N Ireland only goes to £2000 after that it goes to crown court. 7 Feb recieved letter from bank saying they are looking into it 12 Feb rang bank to say that it had been 14 days since I sent letter claiming back charges. They claimed that , as in their T and C, all complaints will take up to 8 weeks to clear up. What should I do now, wait for them or continue to go to court. Can anyone who has been in the same position advise. Thanks Fergal
