Well after perusal of all the threads about FT and their cockups i think a refund is more than justified.lol. regards john.
  7. yes when you claim online you pay the fees at the time but of course you get them back when you win. will cost you about £62 to claim for that amount. regards john.

  16. watch the quartly fees these arent reclaimable although some ppl have got them back. referal fees, bounced cheques and dd,s and letter fees are what you should be claiming. regards john.
  17. what a load of cobblers that is they must think we came up the Bann in a bubble. why do ft have to be such akward as--les they know damned fine that they must supply it under the DPA. write back and ask them what system they are held under and you will report them to the information comissioner for non compliance. regards john.
  18. hi there yes first trust are very consistant in that they are a shower of akward b- -----s with everyone, but with small claims once you get to the court stage they pay up just the same as the rest. i think it was Bally that said someone in first trust told her it was all down to how good a customer you are as to whether or not they refund charges. the reason you can reclaim your charges is that you have broken your contract and they have charged you an excessive amount to cover their loss.this makes it a penalty charge. regards john.
  19. hi stacey what stage is your claim at?. usually with the ulster bank you have to file with scc but thats as far as it goes. most ppl get a letter saying its not worth them defending bla bla bla and pay up. regards john.

  23. hi diane yes you have everything covered there. it will cost you£140 to lodge your civil bill. you then need to send it by next day special delivery to the bank. i photocopied mine and sent them a copy and kept the original im not sure if it matters but you know how banks have a habit of losing things. they have 21 days from the date they recieve it to acknowledge. regards john.
  24. dont resorte to 1 of those companies diane you can do a much better job yourself and quicker too ulster bank have been easy pessy up to now non of the ppl iv helped had to wait much longer than cpl of weeks after filing their claim for an offer to come through. hold your nerve and do everything by the book you will be fine. regards john.
  25. hi hep im afraid thats the way it is here nothing seems to favour the individual. the only route is a civil bill, you wont need a solicitor to serve it but if the bank dont enter a defence the you need a solicitor to file for your default victory. you would be liable for the banks costs if you were to lose your case but that hasnt happened to anyone i know of. regards john.
