Hope this link is okay!!! Reason I have picked this one is because it is near home so we could catch the bus together at the end of the night and bus stop in town is easily directable (trust me) and you get off at the terminus for hotel if you want to go there before meeting up.

 

I can check for hotels in city centre if anyone wants me too.

The Maypole travelodge is about 5 miles from the city centre, there are plenty of cheap hotels right in the city centre that folks can choose too.

no idea where that is, i've only lived in brum a few years. i live on the 50 route but not quite as far down as maypole!

it son the opposite side of the city not far from villa park.... i used to get the 50 to school.... in moseley.... when adam was a boy ha ha

Can we assume that is a 'yes' for all interested parties then? I have now booked the day off work so if anyone needs to be met in town to be put on buses etc just shout. I'd better eat lots or you'll all get the wrong impression of me and think I'm a real lush if I have too much gluhvine early on. I think I had better just apologise now and have done with it...............

I was looking at that hotel link Sally, an its too far out of town. I like to be in walking distance. (Dont travel well after a glass of pop!! )

Try the Brittania Hotel, its at the bottom end of New Street where the German Market will be and is in the middle of the shopping areas and close to New Street station, dont think it has a car park though...

 

Or the next bet would be on Broad Street, loads of chain hotels there and not far from new street

There is also the Briar Rose just off New St ( again right by the Xmas market bit ) It's a Wetherspoons hotel so really reasonable ( sorry don't have link to post but try Google )
