Yeah bring it on, I have been waiting for this day, I got £4950 to try and reclaim back and I was offered £2600 which I declined who dares wins, But I do recall that some banks have reduced their over draft abuse fee so we have made some changes to the greater good.

Ive not been around for a while - been working on other threads.

Today is certainly a positive step in the right direction, but could takes another couple of years though coudnt it?

Anyway, can I ask - I was only 3 weeks away from getting settlement in August last year. Had the verbal offer, but then the Judge said it would have to wait till this test case outcome.

When things do, & I believe they will, get sorted, how does this affect my particular outcome.

I put in a claim which was due to be heard 3 weeks before the S*** hit the fan last year & all payments were stopped. My claim accounted for the past 6 years, but when claims are paid off, that will still stand wont it? They wont try to weedle out of it & say...make another claim base on the past 6 years from whenever it may be will they?

Cause if that were the case then I wopuldnt get a bean!!

Hi Leccy,

Your claim will stand as entered - it was part of the terms stated when the OFT case was started and you will not lose out on charges which go beyond 6 years when the Stay is lifted.

We don't know at the moment. The banks have until May 22nd to appeal, so nothing will move until then anyway. Then you might have to apply to the court for a lifting of the stay, or if the banks do appeal, all claims might stay stayed (!) until final resolution. Or the courts might make a decision of their own accord. And not all courts will necessarily do it the same way. :-|

(not terribly helpful, is it?)

I'm in the same spot as electric lemon, but I am hugely encouraged by yesterdays news, I really thought they'd let them off the hook.

Come on Barclays play fair & pay up (waiting for the sound falling on deaf ears)

Hi to all still claiming, not been on much in last 6 months but I feel the pendulum has swung back to the consumer again.

Hi Biglesbo,

It'll come under the Barclays umberella, so yes.

If you have any Q's on this, post in the Barclays forum as it may well get missed on this thread. ;)
