 Welcome, I am new to this game, I am 60 years old and the modern technology does confuse me sometimes.

I am helping my daughter claim back bank charges with the HSBC, and so far have failed with letters, therefore I have claimed through MCOL. They acknowledged on the 13th April, and state that they are going to defend. I take it that we just sit back and wait to see what they do. Is there anything else I should be doing

The biggest fraud ever: Banks!

The Bank’s [bank of England] Charter included the following immortal words: “The bank hath benefit on the interest on all monies which it creates out of nothing”. Sir Josiah Stamp - Governor of the Bank of England at the time said “It is the biggest sleight of hand trick ever witnessed”.

The banks generally seem to defend, it just gives them a little more time to hope that you will give up.

What happens next will be some correspondence from the court, giving instructions as to what the judge requires. The usual thing is the issuing of an allocation questionaire, although more and more these seem to be left out (the courts are fed up with the banks defending, but then paying out just before the court date, so by leaving out the AQ it just speeds the process up and saves the court some time and paperwork)

Just in case you get one, here is something to look at

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/11644-allocation-questionnaires-guide-completion.html

and a slight update is here

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/general/53570-new-strategy-allocation-questionnaires.html

If they are not sending one, then have a look at this

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/general/80091-your-court-dispensing-allocation.html

I know this is a lot to sort through, but you have time to digest it slowly.

You will definately have to complete a 'court bundle', and the link is here

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/33060-basic-court-bundle.html

It looks daunting, but it isn't really, it just takes a bit of getting used to. Begin a thread in the HSBC forum, and if you get stuck/need advice, then post a question and you'll get lots of help and support.

Well done for getting to this point, and good luck for the next step.

Louis
