I have been paying an old vanquis debt for many years. It has been passed to various companies and is no longer on my credit report. My question is...if I pay the settlement figure quoted will this reappear in any guise on my credit report?

paying or not, paid or not-  a debt vanishes from your file on the default notices 6th bday.

never to comeback.

why are you blindly paying a DCA ANYTHING??

they are NOT BAILIFFS

and have

ZERO LEGAL POWERS on this or any debt.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

  • dx100uk changed the title to Old vanquis card debt - passed around - payment plan in place

By paying the payments all you have succeeded in doing is extending the statute barred date
No a creditor cannot just “apply “ for a ccj
Give more information on the original account
eg  date of opening and the various hands that the debt has passed through

go read a good few threads in our debt self help forum.

you'll soon get the idea.

yes they could go for a ccj but thats no more or less legal powers than you have if someone owes you money.

a dca has ZERO legal powers on any debt.

you've been cash cowed.
