As I have been paying is it not classed as statute barred, therefore creditor can apply ccj? Excuse my ignorance on matter

I have been paying an old vanquis debt for many years. It has been passed to various companies and is no longer on my credit report. My question is...if I pay the settlement figure quoted will this reappear in any guise on my credit report?
