Bristol C.A.Z - PCN - Do I Legally Have To Pay This?

Hi guys

 

I live in South Wales

i was completely unaware of the Bristol Clean Air Zone.

 

In February this year i had to take my daughter to Bristol Airport, I followed the road signs to get to the airport, none of the directional airport road signs mention a clean air zone and nor do they mention a route to avoid it.

 

Surely they would do this if they really wanted people to not bring their cars into the so called clean air zone, they lure you in and charge you ridiculous charges for doing so. It was 6.20pm and i was driving in dark winter conditions too.

 

Now i have a PCN for £60 if i pay now or £120 if i pay outwith the 2 weeks given.

 

Do i actually have to pay this, it seems outrageous for people who are not from the area to have to pay this rip off fee.

you could have easily avoided it, had you known, it came in nov 22

Dx - Many thanks for your reply and the information. Im unemployed and i already have a lot of debt i cant afford to pay this pcn. What will happen if i refuse to pay it?

it will double and then eventually get to bailiffs being involved. and cost you several £100's very very quickly.

 

find the £60 pay it now.

 

drop a mobile phone contract payment /sky tv or netflix payment you dont need to really pay .....this is a priority.
