deleting account or posts

Hi I can see no way of deleting my account or even posts?

how is this done?

Hi.

 

Posts can only be removed by site team, you can only edit for 8 minutes after you post.

 

If there is a legal reason for removing threads or posts, like a threat from lawyers, then you can request removal by contacting site admin. But any posts that are in an internet archive will still be visible and we have no control over those.

 

We can offer you a username change if you want one.

No problems, I just havent had any further use for the account and there have been no further replies or posts to my single topic.

it is very unusual that you cant delete the account, why is that?

You did read the T’s & C’s / site rules before you signed up? It is all in there.

 

don’t want to use the account? Disable all notifications and just don’t sign in again.

To clarify, we can delete your account or as suggested above you can simply not sign in again – but we don't normally remove material.

If there are legal reasons for removing it then we would obviously submit to a court order to remove material.

If you have posts on the forum which you consider contain information which might identify you then we would be happy to try and edit that information out of the thread as long as it didn't change the sense of the discussion.
