Hello,

I'm new to the forum and have never posted on here so apologies if this is in the place.

I was hoping someone could give some advice on cancelling my david lloyd membership early.

Lately I've been struggling to justify paying £124 a month for the gym when a can go to a cheaper one.

With the increases in energy bills I'll be worse off but still technically able to afford it. I'm still in my 12 month period but I know you can cancel early in certain situations.

Can I just email them and say I can no longer afford the gym and would like to terminate my contract early?

Will I need to provide any proof of finances or can I refuse to give it to them?

If I just emailed and then cancelled the DD what's the worst that could happen?

Thanks in advance

No-one can do anything to you in all truth .

Gyms don't do court

Gym debts don't appear on credit files.

A DCa is not a BAILIFF

Write to the gym, stating due to private personal reasons you can no longer continue membership. Offer them ONE further payment at £124 if they write and confirm they except your offer.

Cancel the DD now .

They won't accept.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Thank you so much!

I've read loads of stuff about how difficult DL can be when trying to leave, I just wish I had read it before I signed up!
