No mention from you of Tories whip removed for not supporting corruption/Johnson

He did it according to his conscience and armed the Tories with it, starmer had little choice given the overall stance

Which is worse in your opinion then?

I suggest you have a careful look at the Trump endorsed candidates standing in key positions in the swing states in the midterms

If elected these are the people who will control the next presidential election

The Democrats will likely be hammered in the midterms

I see sunak is now saying he will reduce income tax from 20% -16% by the end of the decade (7 years time) - if they are re-elected, despite correctly claiming that truss' tax reduction claims would further bankrupt the country

.. but you can guarantee that the way both would at least partially 'get the money up front' is by

1. Not increasing the base tax relief (and similar 'poor people benefits') thereby taking it off the poorest straight away in increasing amounts (given inflation)

2. Reduction in services, and costs of oversight of government, despite(because) an undoubted massive increase in taxpayer money routed to pals - as we have seen

-

and lets not forget what tory election pledges are worth nowadays - sweet francis adams unless they want to pull them out to 'justify' some populist/pals agenda.

"That Bamford is picking up some of the tab might, in days gone past, have been called corruption, but Johnson is another of those re-writing the rules for the privileged classes.

At least, in this instance, the Oaf isn’t raiding the public purse"

- of course he is, Bamford wouldn't be doing this without him gaining at least 100x what its costing

"in the case of Transport for London (TfL) – part of the socialist domain of mayor Sadiq Khan"

"almost 600 TfL “fat cat” employees of the organisation earned £100,000 a year – while an ousted director got a £626,000 pay-off."

LOL weren't most of those fat cats set up and protected  under Johnson?

and isn't getting rid of them a good thing?

FIRST: Johnson and Jenrick and cabal and VIPals, along with peerages for pals and Putins paymasters

.... although london based 'law enforcement' would undoubtedly prefer to target khan .. as no doubt directed

and undoubtedly any london based 'law enforcement' would have a couple of lifetimes of squads investigating and finding nothing if 'forced' to investigate Johnson, Jenrick and co

... whatever evidence a couple of investigative journalists might uncover in a week or two.

oh and

"Despite the massive inflation in public (and quasi-public) sector pay, the quality of management does not seem to have improved."

he needs to qualify that statement far better

As corruption goes they would be second and third on my list BN

At the top by along way Labour controlled Oldham Council and Greater Manchester Police

The details of which are far too horrific to discuss here imo

away from the more rabid press, a more balanced perspective (not that it or I excuse the failings)

Even these horrors seem repeatedly trumped by the Met (IMO)

While criticising authorities over their failures, the independent review said there was no evidence of a cover-up.

I assume we can all agree that aside from the crimes themselves, the second (in some was equal first) greatest issue is that the investigations into the failings are still 'ongoing' after all this time.

The apparent kicking of investigations into the long grass until everyone involved is dead - seems to happen far to much when politicians and senior police are under scrutiny.
