Am 73 and they accused me of stealing a 70p mango and issued a no trespass order on my subsequent visit. They did not stop me from leaving the store on the date that I was allegedly  accused nor were the police involved. Have asked for cctv footage.

This should be with me by the 30th.

Their h/o sides with the store and even my MP got no where with them.

I am hoping the cctv footage will show I left the store with NOTHING!!!!!

They know that legal bods are advising me and that I have to pay upfront costs.

I could quite easily never go back to their stores BUT I TOOK NOTHING and what they saw was me taking gloves out of my pocket-in any event, my M+S coat pockets ARE TOO SMALL TO TAKE A MANGO!!!

h/o?

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

M&S and any other store can refuse anyone entry to their stores.

Not very nice to be accussed of stealing and I would be furious. But not sure that I could do very much. It is not as if I am going to take them to Court for this.

Once you have the CCTV and if it clears you of any crime, then if you don't mind publicity, then it may be something to take to the media.

I'd vote with my feet and shop elsewhere, it is pointless spending your valuable time and energy on an insignificant store.

What is the outcome you wish to achieve?

If it's being allowed entry back into the store, I'd spend your hard earned elsewhere, somewhere you're not going to be accused of something you didn't do.

Who is the security outfit they employ here?

You might have more joy in lodging a formal complaint to the security firm about the conduct of their employees, M&S will always back up their security.

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!

Hi

In post#1 you describe this event as happening to yourself then in post#7 you describe this as happening to a third party by stating 'they did not stop her from leaving the shop'.

Could you clarify whether this event happend to yourself or a third party? (Due to above)

Could you clarify with the CCTV Footage that you have sent a Subject Acces Request (SAR) to M&S and they have responded to the request? (please bear in mind due to Data Protection Act (DPA) if they cannot remove the identiy of others in that footage they may not provide this footage due to (DPA) but wait and see if they do send the CCTV Footage.

It is for my wife-sometimes I reply as often she is so upset she needs my help-they say they will provide cctv footage by the 30th, Your input is so very very helpful-we feel utterly lost-we have no criminal record and our cc bill shows 15 payments to their store

over the previous 3 months-some as low as 0.70p for a newspaper
