Hi,

Few days ago my car was taken by Tower Hamlets for parking in a single yellow line.

The contravention time states in the PNC from 10:50 to 10:56.

Is it possible that they can take my car just for 6 minutes contravention?

Is possible that due to the COVID-19, I can challenge that PNC?

My neighborhood is always full of cars and there are not enough parking spaces, so everyone parks in a single yellow line if there is not any parking spot available.

I do not hold a parking a parking permission.

I was not able to apply for it due to the covid.

Any help?

Thank you very much.

they do not have the right to pick up your car if there is no place for porking the car in the proper place

there should be a hotline where you can send all complaints that will be processed

Complete rubbish. You're not helping people by making up things.

They can tow any car which is in contravention, regardless of whether there is a "porking" place nearby.

I'm not sure what COVID-19 has to do with it, but you have a right of appeal against the charges. What were the circumstances which might win an appeal for you?

your argument is one of proportionality.

Issuing of the PCN will most likely be fully compliant but the towing should only occur after a certain time and then only when there are issues of obstruction or safety or if the vehicle isn't taxed.

The use of towing where the reason is not clear is lawful but challengeable.

So now the question about the bit you haven't mentioned.

Your car was tickets at 10.56 so what time was it towed and was it clamped first?

COVID 19 doesn't change the rest of the laws of the land despite what signs shopkeepers like B&Q may put up
