Equifax hold incorrect information - They say I have a financial association with my late wife who died 9 years ago.

Got a credit report from clear score a partner of the above.They say I have a financial association with my late wife who died 9 years ago. They have refused to remove it saying that they were supplied data by a company.

C one tried it on and so did provi went to c.f. Both dismissed but they still won't remove fa  what do I do next

what is the issue with having the association?

is this causing you harm?

 

if you did once have joint accounts etc, then the note is correct.

 

mine goes back 25yrs with 2 dead parents, doesn't harm me.

5. You can get financial associations removed from your report

If you no longer share finances with your financial associate, you can ask Experian and the other credit reference agencies (Equifax and Callcredit) to remove them from your credit report. Get in touch with us, and be prepared to provide proof that your financial connection has ended.

If you've had a break up or divorce, but still share a mortgage with your ex-partner, we may be able to break the association between you if you've been living apart for more than six months. In this case, you'll need to close all other shared finances with them, such as joint bank accounts.
