My situation is that I've just managed to re-mortgage my home to pay off credit cards and an overdraft that had me in debt of £90,000. Over the previous few years I had been using my NatWest overdraft to stay afloat where I had a facility of  £20,000.  I was using most of it for quite a while and was racking up monthly interest of £200-£300 which meant that one week of every month my wages were just paying off the interest and not helping me to pay off my balance. I did ask the bank if I could convert the overdraft into a loan so that at least my payments would be reducing the balance owed but they declined.

Although I have now sorted out my finances, I was wondering if in your opinion I had a case for reclaiming some of the charges I've paid .
