DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

he even said that's weird unless the scanner he was holding is faulty? and before anyone says this, no, I got no metal plates in my leg and never had an operation,

I am getting worried / paranoid now, will this be an issue when I arrive at Manchester Airport in January for my holiday to Benidorm?

will security not let me on the plane?

Its starting to bug me now and I am worried :(

You are worrying too much! :-)

No-one gets refused boarding unless searching by security shows you really are carrying explosives or weapons or something illegal. I go through airports a lot and the scanners go off for 30% - 40% of the people who go through. The tiniest thing sets them off. A quick hand search and using their explosive 'sniffing' device and you are waved through.

Before this current security circus got in to full swing, I set off one of the "explosives alarms" at an airport in America. Got pulled in to a side room and had my hand luggage thoroughly searched by hand. Lost count of how many swabs they used on both my belongings and myself. Fully expected the strip & cavity search :jaw:

I had paid a visit to a guy that was working on a prototype Hilti type of nail gun. It would appear that the sensors at the airport was picking up trace residues of the explosive caps used in these guns.

If the OP triggers any wands at the airport, the worst I would expect is a quick pat down or get asked to roll up the offending trouser leg.

The easiest way of getting a signature is go see your bank manager. They may make a small charge but theyll do it.

The only way your friend can sign it, is if he is the director of a limited company. Not a sole trader.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

If my advice helps you, click the star icon at the bottom of my post and feel free to say thanks

So, would my Halifax bank manager sign for it, even though I don't know them personally?

I don't mind paying for the charge for the manager to do it, as long as he/she can, also my window cleaner can't sign for my passport as he does't pay VAT with his self - employed business, as I rang passport office up and they said my window cleaner won't be accepted to sign for it.

Have you read the list of occupations the Passport Office will accept? It's very long.

In the past, our pharmacist signed for us.

Your countersignatory must:

  • have known the person applying (or the adult who signed the form if the passport is for a child under 16) for at least 2 years
  • be able to identify the person applying, eg they’re a friend, neighbour or colleague (not just someone who knows them professionally)
  • be ‘a person of good standing in their community’ or work in (or be retired from) a recognised profession

A doctor can’t sign for a patient unless they are also a friend.

Doctors can act as a counter signatory for a friend.
