I've been asked by my Step Father to enquire about reclaiming Mis-sold PPI by the TSB on a loan he got back in the eighties.

I've never had PPI myself so although I know it's a big thing now, I have no clue on the process of claiming.

I know it is advised on this site to NOT use a PPI Claims Company because of the charges incurred.

What I have been looking for is a Template Letter I could use to print off and maybe help him as best I can.

Also, with the TSB now being Lloyds, can he still make a claim?

If so, to whom?

I also doubt he would know his old account number etc.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

If all else fails, kick them where it hurts and SOD'EM;)

well TSB is actually back again now

but if his loan is covered by them

and not gone the other way to Lloyds when they split again is an other matter

the next step is to send whomever be that Lloyds or TSB an SAR

get all the details they might have

no details no reclaim sadly.

I believe both LLOyds and TSB have PPI complaint links on their website

why not use each one and see what he gets back as an answer and go from there.

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
