Cold Calling Part 2 - Unidentifiable number when ring 1471

Is there anything I or my phone company can possibly do to stop harassment and sometimes abusive calls ?

 

I have logged times and dates and I have answered on a couple of occasions but can never quite understand the person talking.

 

Now I have been receiving calls early morning and late at night.

 

Always ask for the same person but incorrect name and when asked who I am speaking to its either Jon, Joe, Reggie, Ronnie etc and then sometimes followed by abuse if further questions asked

then they'll play their cards and you can complain to the ICO.

Yes I have been looking at one of them.

 

Already registered with TPS and ex-directory but keep getting calls from this lot obviously overseas.

 

All very frustrating and these are the calls that need to be stopped.

 

Telephone number untraceable unlike others I have complained to the ICO / TPS about.

When I don't answer it and call 1471 number unidentifiable.

 

When I have answered like you do, silence then hello can I speak to Mr Blobby etc........when I ask who is calling either they say goodbye or start being rude !

 

Can I still complain to ICO but presume a waste of time anyway on past experience.

I have already submitted one complaint to a company that I do have details threatening court action for waste of time and harassment. Its been acknowledged by the ICO / TPS.

Always complain. They might not look Into them individually, but when they stack up they'll investigate

Not sure without a number...but with today's technology they may be able to interrogate calls made to your number.
