I think I understand that when a female is neither married or young, they might want to have their own "title" rather than have people address them by their first name. What annoys me is when a company, even when they are aware I am a Mrs are too lazy to include the "r" and still call me Ms !

Thing is Cit B as a man we are screwed.If we get it wrong we sre damned especially if the person is a radical dungaree wearing feminist. Dungaree is just a stereotype that people of a certain age will understand

ms, I get called this a lot! what exactly is MS, it is neither Miss, or Mrs!

 

My wife uses Ms as her title. She does so because she does not wish to declare her marital status every time she says her name.

 

Of course, we're just a pair of weirdos. Even members of my own family have trouble accepting the fact that we're married but have different surnames

I hate being called Dear! yes dear, no dear, it makes me feel older then I am!

 

I don't know if it's just me; but I find it's only old ladies who call me dear. And when I lived in London, it was mean who called me Love.
