I had a feeling things changed at pension age. After age 65, you may need to claim attendance allowance.

The above may be incorrect as the DLA wil continue however if you apply after age 65 then you cannot get DLA and previously had to apply for AA however now I think you get assessed for PIP if 65 after April 2013.

As noted above, there is no savings/capital restriction for DLA or Attendance Allowance as these are not means tested benefits. If she's in receipt of State Retirement Pension then this also has no savings limits. If she receives State Pension Credit then the lower limit for savings is £10,000. After that, £1 per week would be deducted from her entitlement for every £500 she has above the £10,000. There is no upper savings limit for SPC.
