More slack journalism and inaccurate comments...

To fight a private charge, contact the company that issued the notice and explain why it should be overturned. If you have no joy, you have 28 days to appeal through the Parking on Private Land Appeals, backed by the British Parking Association. Private firms that are not members of the British Parking Association should not be able to get hold of your registered details from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) – so they will find it hard to chase you for any unpaid fine.

they still cant grasp things can they

they still keep using the word FINES

and PENALTY in relation to these speculative invoices

its a s if someone in the mail & the Mirror

has a vested interest to introduce confusion?

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Not just in the mainstream press either - I keep having a go at our local rag whenever they feature a story about fines for overstays in shop car parks!

Any advice given is done so on the assumption that recipients will also take professional advice where appropriate.

I think the newspapers tend to dumb down the articles for those lacking in grey cells. The Daily Hate also fail to mention the IPC and the IAS as if POPLA was the only appeals channel to go to.

If you are asked to deal with any matter via private message, PLEASE report it.

Everything I say is opinion only. If you are unsure on any comment made, you should see a qualified solicitor
