Hi,

I would really appreciate some advice regarding debt collection fees.

I had an original debt with council tax for the amount of £107.80 which got passed on to Jabobs debt collectors. The amount they are now claiming is £417.15 which is made up of the original debt, a £75 compliance stage fee and £235 for attending the premises. Is this all legal?

Like I say any advice would really be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hello, this sounds like it is Enforcement Agents - what used to be known as Bailiff's, so needs to be in the Bailiff section of this forum - I have reported your post to the mods to ask them to move it for you :)

The Fee's look around right under the new fees structure sadly, but the experts in the Bailiff section will advice better.

moved to bailiffs section.

if the CTAX LO is since april 2014

then sadly the fees are correct.

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Agree with Caled, the fees look correct, could you give us a little more background please. Hide any car, and do not let the bailiff in.

We could do with some help from you.
