post 126 refers to the PPI sums paid

where did 5.39 loan 1

and

10.74 30/4/2003 come from?

loan2 PPI was £9.95 not 9.14 or 9.10

or have I missed an interest rate change somewhere.??

and £18.75 1/6/9?

I found statements for all of loan 2 so I just used the charge it said.

and the other charges are the one's i found for loan 1 and 2 in the "Halifax Insurance Paperwork"

should I change loan 2 PPI charge to 9.95 or use the ones the statement say?

Thanks

Andrew

if you have written eveidence monthly of what was actually on the statements for ppi

yes you use those figures.

at the end of the day

although we find the spreadsheets are usually correct

they are in essence, guess work.

and should only be used as a guide.

lets them know , you know, what you are going on about,

they comply to the fos guideline calcs too.

Okay I use them,

Glad the spreadsheet is finished and I have updated my covering letter letting him know there under FOS rules.

Covering Letter:

Date: 09/01/2015

Dear Sir or Madam,

Re: Account numbers: 0/0000000-0, 0/0000000-0

We am writing in relation to payment protection insurance (PPI) policies, associated with the above accounts, which we do not believe was sold to us correctly or fairly.

We believe you have not treated us fairly for the following reasons:

· The term of our PPI covers was shorter than the term of our loans and it wasn’t made clear to us that we wouldn’t be protected towards the end of the term

· The total cost of adding PPI to our loans was not clearly explained to us

· We felt that we was being pressured into taking the covers and unable to say no

· We was not told how to go about cancelling our polices

· We already had cover in place that could have protected our repayments but wasn’t asked about this, and we were told that we needed to take out PPI cover for our loans.

Unless you can provide proof that the polices were appropriate for our circumstances and that we was treated fairly when you sold us the insurances, we will expect a full refund of all premiums, the interest that we have incurred as a result of having the PPI covers and 8% simple interest until settled.

We have attached PPI questionnaires for both loans, evidence of PPI polices and a PPI redress calculation that’s under the Financial Ombudsman Service rules.

Under the FCA guidelines, Halifax has 8 weeks to resolve our complaint. We trust that you will deal with my case within this period. If not, we will refer the matter to the Financial Services Ombudsman.

We look forward to your prompt response to this letter.

Yours faithfully,

Will this be okay?

Thanks

Andrew

So I need to change:

in each loan, the relevant PPI cover did not run for the full term, but the interest charged on the PPI premiums did.

I'm not sure what the royal mail mean on there update. It says:

An attempt to deliver your item with 000000000000 was made on 10/01/15

but we were unable to deliver as there was no access to the delivery address.

The Item will be returned to HALIFAX to await instructions from the addressee or will be returned to sender.

You can arrange a redelivery online,

call the HALIFAX office to arrange a re-delivery,

or collect the item from HALIFAX by bringing proof of identification and address.

There are instructions on the card on how to collect your item or arrange a Redelivery.

Sounds like you will need to get in touch with them and arrange a redelivery, either online or by phone.

Thanks for the reply xd,

Won't they at least send a letter to say there looking into it or something before the 8 weeks? Also I put in the PPI Questionnaires that I was handling the case in the bit "If someone or claims handler is claiming for you" so will they address the letter to me or my mum and dad?

Thanks

Andrew

Hi everyone,

Got two letters from Halifax today, both the same and was saying were looking and getting information for the PPI claim. I'll upload the letter, I guess we just wait for an offer now then?

Thanks

Andrew
