Is the £45 a month interest a penalty as I have no idea whatsover I thought you just received a fixed charge for a authorised overdraft? so is the £45 interest a penalty for when my daughter as gone over the authorised overdraft limit?

Sorry no idea what the interest rate is

all I have printed off is daughters bank statements showing Nat West charges her £45 a month interest

I assume this is for her authorised overdraft which she always goes over the limit

because of charges keep being placed just a vicious circle,

as I am not aware of what banks charge as I have not been in this position myself

I am not sure what is what

I was just going to add all these £45 monthly interest amounts up and request it back?

I have added up all the penalty charges which come to around £750.

I would assume I cannot request the £6 monthly authorised overdraft fee back

the OD £6 no

the int rate must be contained on the charge notices that she wuold have gotten.

Is it essential that I get to know the interest charged

can I not just request the £45 each month they have charged her interest

on top of the penalty charges they have given her for going over her overdraft limit,

they caused the hardship by putting charges on that have then taken her over the authorised overdraft limit,

if I do a sars that will take 40 days and meanwhile she will carry on getting charges that she cannot afford

No idea how to sort this requesting overdraft fees find it hard to understand from what I can see daughter would get interest of around £45 + a month on a £3,000 authorised overdraft. So I am assuming this cannot be claimed back?

Total charges for going over the overdraft limit caused by the bank placing charges = £720 so I am going to put that figure down as what I want them to consider paying back to daughter.

Sorry for frustrating people but I do not understand what I am being asked to do reference filling in spread sheets and percentages 20% do I add 20% to that £720????

I have put 20% in where it says interest sorry so not understanding all this perhaps if I had done it a few times may get hang of it. Now what do I press to get the total or do I close it and next time I open it the total will be there?
