Me & an EGG Arrangement to Pay

I am in EXACTLY the same position as you.

 

I'm so pleased to find this thread.

 

I was also very surprised to discover and arrangement to pay from Egg showing on my Equifax report (it's not on my Experian one).

 

I am absolutely certain that I NEVER agreed any arrangement to pay with Egg and I NEVER paid less than the minimum amount.

 

What did happen was that I went over my credit card limit (only slightly) and they increased it for four months from Dec 2008 to March 2009.

 

I discovered this last year and queried it via Equifax but

 

they came back saying that Egg had looked into it and they hadn't made a mistake.

 

I didn't take it any further because I didn't know what to do and at the time I wasn't applying for credit etc anyway. But

 

I am now trying to rent a flat and this is coming up on my credit check,

despite the fact that in every other respect my credit history is perfec

t - there's not even a single late payment.

 

It seems incredibly harsh that having increased my credit limit five years ago for a period of four months

(the entire balance of the card was cleared in March 2009 and the account was closed)

 

should have been registered on my account in a manner which is having such a negative effect on my credit rating and causing me such huge problems.

I am also now sending a SAR to Egg with the intention of challenging this Arrangement to Pay.

Have you received any news from Egg? Still no documentation! I have raised a dispute with Equifax and they have contacted them on my behalf, i'm not hopeful but i thought it was worth a shot as I am getting impatient now. I hope you have had better luck!!

Actually, i managed to find a telephone number 0800 358 2101.

 

They have informed me that Canada Square Operations, Po Box 4903, Worthing, BN99 3AR is incorrect and anything relating to SAR should be sent to:

 

CitiFinancial Europe, PO BOX, BN99 3AS.
