Hi Debt info

. I too am looking to go bankrupt.

Last year was a nightmare,

I am HIV,

had a slipped disc &

a hip replacement that dislocated twice.

My partner had chemotherapy & the family had 3 bereavements in 5 months.

As a result of all this I couldn't keep my job as it involved a lot of travelling

& I physically couldn't do it.

I am also TERRIFIED of the Official receiver.

I have debts ( unsecured loans, an evil managed loan from HSBC, credit cards ) totalling approx £20k.

What is slightly complicated is that I had a LTD company ( just me ) that made around £1,000 PM or less

which I've been living on,

the CAB & debtline advised me to resign as director after my bankruptcy & turn in to a sole trader.

I have had a civil partnership with my partner & moved in to their housing association flat.

However I can't be on the tenancy until I have been paying utility bills at the address for a year which I am doing.

I too am terrified that the OR will pull me to bits & scrutinise everything.

I spoke to someone else who said the CAB handled everything

& they just had a 5 minute chat with the OR on the phone.

The only asset I have is a year old computer & I need that for work,

I am so stressed out about this any advice would be very gratefully received,

especially should I mention that I will be paying rent / council tax just not yet.

Thank you very much
