hi just wonder if any one has dealt with SCOTTCALL based in Glasgow

my son and daughter in law have had a couple of letters from them demanding money

they are saying its a sky TV debt

they cancel sky in may //June because of bad service

and were told over the phone the account was closed but

scottcall are saying they owe them

I've sent scott call a letter but not heard back

just wonder if any one knew about them

thanks

snotscrawl can do what they like

they don't own the debt

no legal powers whatsoever

they are NOT BAIIFFS

and NEVER EVER will be.

get them to check their Credit file

in case its been defaulted.

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Sky said the account is paid in full? Time to tell scotcall to do one and speak to sky.

They have to prove a debt exists. Not the other way around.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

thanks for your reply

i ve wrote a letter this morning saying I am acting on behalf of the name person on there account (but did not say it was my son ) , I told them to get lost as they can`t prove the debt ,also I said I know they have no legal rights .as there is no debt

we have also found the last statement from sky and the cancelation letter saying account balance is£0.00

so let see what they say

Scotcall are one of the lowest forms of DCA there is. Debts normally only get passed to them when no other DCA will touch them.

Thats not to say the debt isnt legit in some way, but if scotcall is around, experience shows that the debt isnt what it seems.
