Hi all just need to get advice re court costs please.

Back in 2000 my local council was granted a SPO for rent arrears and court costs. The rent arrears were cleared as per the schedule issued by the court and we had assumed that the court costs had also been cleared.

The council has recently informed us verbally that these costs have not been paid and there is still an amount of £176 outstanding and they would like payment of these.

Only have a few questions really:-

1. Is there a statute of limitations present for court costs

2. Is this debt enforceable after such a long period

3. If payment were made would this restart any clock

Many thanks in advance for any help you can give.
