I have no legal training and the advice I offer is a matter of support. Before you commit to any Legal action you are advised to contact a qualified legal practitioner.

------------------------------------------------

Bank charge successes:

Halifax - Full settlement incl interest.

HSBC - Settlement, goodwill no admission of liability about 75% of claim.

RBS - Settlement, goodwill no admission of liability about 70% of claim.

2 ongoing claims for bank charges with HSBC with more to come. (Supreme Court ruling could have upset these claims) They did

PPI Successes

PPI 4 settlements on 9 loans. FOS involvement on 7 added on the 8 % Statutory interest another 30% to both.

2 claims settled in full with LV without FOS involvement.

2 claims settled in full with HSBC without FOS involvement

PPI Claims ongoing with:

Cap one Now with the FOS

Barclays. Paid up today 24/04/10 cheque received for over £4,500 and in the bank.

LTSB still have to decide on this as their SAR production was abysmal. Papers data mixed up documents missing etc

1 Complaint not upheld by FOS they said it was ICO issue. Complaint upheld by ICO. See this..

Please do not PM me for advice as it may be sometime before I can respond.

Keep at them. Do not give way and do not accept all they tell you, they will delay and stall for as long as they can to prevent repaying you your mis-sold PPI.

Forum name only please

CAG has helped me so much since I joined. Based on what I have learnt from others on here and my own experiences, I try to chip in and help others from time to time. I am not an expert and give my opinion only. Always check with the more experienced CAG members before making important decisions.

Out if interest, as Martin's Mum's address is given, and it is likely she'll be at the funeral : please ensure someone is at her address during those periods, so that no scrote will think "ohh, that address will be empty and open to rob"

Sadly, its not unheard of for people to get back from a funeral to find they've been robbed. Some lowlifes have no respect / decency. Whilst I don't think any CAG regulars might, its an open website, and anyone "just passing through" can see the details.

BazzaS, His mum's address is not on this thread but it was given somewhere else on the forum for people to write to her if they wished. I think you are right to be wary of burglars. There are some absolute scumbags out there who see someone's sad death as a business opportunity, so it's always best to get someone to stay in the house.

The address given for people to send cards etc is not his mums address, it's the address of the church

I am not referring to the church address but to 41 C..... Street which was posted on one of the threads last week and is not the address of the church.

It was included in an announcement about the funeral which was sent out last Friday morning headed 'Martin3030 - Funeral arrangements'. I received it at 10.50 a.m. It gave details of the church, timings, said anyone was welcome to attend, fund, and then said that if anyone wished to write to his mother, she is at 41 C Street. I didn't click to go on the forum as all the info was in the email which I assume was sent out to everyone on the emailing list.

"A candle...

In a sweet corner of the valleys a candle burns tonight,

A humble remembrance of the souls that lost their plight;

For everyone that's lonely and have no comfort now,

Remember in the morning they'll still be with you now...

I listen to the bells of the church that's close to me

And remember what our Jesus showed us just what we can be...

Our hearts are full of love and grace,

So let us show the world our face...xxx"
