UPS delivery failure - complaint ref - 1-259 508 4022 - @UPSHelp @UPSuk

I thought that I would keep a running log of how this goes.

I asked a friend of mine to send me some items of mine which I had left behind at his home.

They were required urgently and so were sent by UPS - for about £70.

UPS managed to attempt delivery to the wrong address so that it took me a lot of time on the phone trying to find out what had happened and to correct their error and then wait in for a second day for the delivery to be made correctly.

I have complained to UPS and other some routine acknowledgments and broken promises to contact me, nothing has happened.

This happened just before Christmas and so I have now sent them an

to expire on the 30th January.

Does UPS stand for "Useless Postal Service"?

Let's see what happens.

I am keeping them updated via Twitter as well - which amazingly produces the best response rate - although still, just broken promises.

Incidentally - in phone call which I did have with them, UPS said that anyway if there were any refunds, they wouldn't be able to refund me. They would have to refund my friend because it was him who sent the item.

I drew their attention to Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 and they have not given any response
