Hi Gary, Do try to phoning the bank for your statements first though as the halifax do seem to send them out quickly and you will not have to wait the 40 days for the dpa request to expire. I think that if you go in strait away with a dpa request they will drag their heels.

Hi Gary, I sent my requests for statements and had a reply 3 days later and instead of statements had a computer printout of all charges over 6 years and a letter stating that their charges were not unfair and that what I was doing in requesting statements would damage customer services for those that had handled their bank accounts correctly. Am claiming £20025 from them. Fingers crossed.
