I wasnt trying to find anything, the post was about bailiffs and it said it had been moved to the bailiffs forum/thread when I clicked on it I was redirected to Paypal to complete my purchase. It wasnt a hyper link it was just that word. Frankly I'm a bit concerned, should I be?

have a look at the word "bailiffs" in the posts above - you will see they are highlighted and have a chain link at the side. If you hover on that word you will see the bailiff book - if you click on it, you will indeed be directed to the paypal link to purchase.

Hello again.

No, I don't think you should be concerned. What are you trying to achieve please? Clicking on that hyperlink wasn't going to take you to someone's thread.

Please tell us more.

If you just hover over the word bailiffs it opens a link informing you of a book giving you your rights, and if you click on it it then auto links to your PP page.

I am using an iPhone, so if I type the word bailiff it automatically becomes a hyperlink? I'm sorry I'm not really familiar with the set up. I wasn't trying to achieve anything, I was simply reading through posts and as I have explained it said this post has been moved to bailiffs, so I clicked on it and as I have explained it took me to Paypal. I don't undrerstand how clicking on a word would be a link to purchase. Is that something the CAG supports?

CAG actually sells the bailiff book and it is why it is hyperlinked. You will find other hyper links through out CAG which are usually just information based. Other forums also use this method of quick linking.

The expression "Moved to bailiff forum" is simply used by mods when they move a thread to a different forum to the original. That way the original poster gets an e-mail notification that the thread has been moved.

The word bailiff (amongst others) is a keyword which automatically generates a link. In the case of the word bailiff, CAG recommends a book on bailiffs and hovering over the word will show you a description of the book (on a pc anyway...don't know about a phone). If you then click on the word Bailiff it will take you to a page where you can buy the book if you want to.

Answer to your problem is don't click on the word bailiff.

You can see when a keyword has a link in it because the word is emboldened and a little blue chain link icon appears next to the word.

If you want to go to the bailiff forum, navigate to it from the main page of the forum.

Ah well there you go, I didn't know that. I didn't know about hyperlinks. I just thought they were links to related threads or posts. So the word bailiff can't be typed without it becoming an advert?

Nope.

You could do b@iliff
