benson for beds..agreed to cough ...but no so far!!**** WAS Resolved****

hello.. this is a very long story but im sure you will understand my fury..

 

i visited my local branch of bensons for beds and purchased 2 mattresses for my 97 year old grand father invoice dated 9/5/12

 

my poor gramps was rushed back into hospital 10/5/12 late at night..

i visited him the next day friday 11/5/12 ..

poor old boy is on deaths door .

. it was too early for doctors and nurses to give me a full picture of his health..

 

i visited him again monday 14/5/12 and it soon became apparent that he is at deaths door..

he is on ' NO RESUS ' list and listed as very high risk..

this means that said matresses from bensons for beds are not required.

 

. i left my gramps at 3pm and raced to the showroom and tried to cancel the order..

the manager at the shop flatly refused..

i stated the facts and explained the situation

.. he told me to ring the customer care helpline..

i got through at 4.30pm.

. i gave the guy on the line all info..

and he stated that he would ring back after 5pm same day..

i sat and waited until 6.30 pm ..

gave up and went back to my gramps address..

 

i checked on the bensons website.

. phone lines close at 5pm.

. so i was lied to.

 

. i visit my gramps every day.

.50 mile round trip..!!

 

tuesday hospital visit revealed that gramps wont last long.

. so i set up many things for him to come back home.

. that means hospital bed downstairs.. etc.. etc.

 

. i contacted helpline again..

and spoke to nice friendly guy called ' ' he was very helpful .

. i wanted a full refund.

. we came to an agreement £764 cheque to be posted.

. thank you very much .

heeven phoned me back to confirm everything.

. it looked good.

 

. hospital visit on the wednesday.

. i gets home at 4.15pm

.. phone rings.

 

. its XXX from benson for beds..

the head manager has refused verbally agreed refund because.

. and you aint gonna believe this..

' Manager says im lying.' !!!

 

i was furious..

i demanded to speak to said cowardly manager..

but i could not.

. cause he had gone home.

 

. i ask that cowardly manager rings me direct..

certainly sir he says.

. manager will ring you tommorow at your prefered time.

 

. 4pm + .. its now 4.45 pm and im still waiting.

 

. i dunno what to do next.

. CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE..

 

benson for beds have stolen from a 97 year old war veteran..!!!

my mother who is 71 years old cannot stop crying because of this terrible situation..

What a disgusting and distressing situation,

In my opinion you must make a formal complaint

to the MD/CEO of Bensons sent recorded delivery

and personally addressed.

i understand that now a days cash isnt king.. but my credit card is dead.. very very long story..

im a fulltime carer for my gramps and have been living with him for almost a year..

the government pays me a pittance.. lol

the phone has just rang.. its benson beds.. local branch manager is on site..

i have learned something during this problem.

never ever ever buy anything from bensons for beds..

next time anyone in the family needs bed stuff.. i will drive anywhere.. dont care if its a 50 miles out of the way

its june2nd..

 

im still waiting for refund..

 

oh.. and my gramps died may 28th

 

its bank holiday now..

 

i shall visit benson beds in the next few days..

 

AND MAKE A MASSIVE SCENE

my gramps funeral is monday 11th june...

 

once the funeral is completed i will visit local store and make such a scene

 

im a patient guy.. but that is over now..

 

i understand benson beds have a rep on this website..

 

I SAY TO THIS REP.. SORT IT OUT.. SORT IT OUT NOW.. UNLESS YOU WANT ME TO MAKE A SCENE IN YOUR SHOP

 

i will be dressed in all my black funeral gear.. and that will make benson beds manager look like a cheap shop dummy

 

i also see that benson beds are doing a massive ad campaign on national TV..

 

the store will be full of potential customers.. they wont be once i tell them how unreliable benson beds are..

Just be careful as he could get you removed from the store for causing a public disturbance. As well as harassment/intimidation.

Steve it will not help your case to do this, yes go into the store but calmly!!!

Amen to that brig. Deal with things rationally. Then if you dont get a response you like, go through official channels. If you cause a disturbance, its guaranteed that it will work against you.

im almost sure that this nasty company thinks im a pushover..

Doesnt matter if they lie. Deal with it calmly and professionally. If it comes to it, let the courts deal with them. Don't fall to their level of immaturity and start ranting and yelling at them. The only thing it will achieve is you being booted out of the office and ignored or possibly the police being called due to you creating a public disturbance and possible trespass if you refuse to leave.

reason for this is...

 

i signed a special duplicate book.. receipt book.. i asked for a copy of said receipt and the manager refused because he stated that the office needs both copies..

 

manager also taken all my original paperwork and receipts.. i shook the managers hand and left thinking it was allover..

 

i aint happy.. in fact im starting to boil right now....

 

why oh why do these people think that they get away with this.. ??
