Lying in bed and felt the need to come on here and vent my anger at payday express, i'm at my wits end. I like many others have done the stupid payday loan thing and i'm fortunate that i only have one now, and its the truly wonderful payday express. What must i do to get them to acknowledge me and my pleas. I owe them £400 and i have emailed constantly asking for a repayment plan to no avail. So i decided i would offer them £150 tomorrow and offer the rest in 3 weeks, as i've had a pay rise backdated at work and it would mean i finally can be rid of this noose round my neck. But they will not reply to anything i send. I duplicate and triplicate everything i send and yes i've told them i'm complaining complaining and complaining, but nothing. I'm sick to my very stomach. its causing me real stress and sleepless nights. I don't think my offer is unreasonable! Any suggestions?

Thanks for listening x

Be careful with your offer of £150!! They'll probably consider £100 of this to be a 'rollover payment' and take the other £50 off the balance.

Have you emailed dr @ payday express? They're also a bit shy in replying, but I finally had some success in the end with this address!

I wouldn't consider making any payments above the usual 'rollover payment' amount! Offer and send them what you can afford, £10 a month, £1 per month!!

They're unlikely to decrease your balance anyway! Unfortunately, they like to add about £150 in charges to accounts in default before agreeing to anything!

Keep trying the dr @ email address.

Let us know how you get on :)

This is a oh my god, how do they get away with it

Please use form and report to the OFT - everyone is entitled to fill one out no matter who your dealing with

I was recording my communication earlier this week with this lot and remember on the very first out bound call I made when 'they had held my account' they did say I should go to CAB first so much so I thought they were really being sarcastic !!, seriously now I must wonder if there was "sentiment" in that, (especially now with Consumer Direct transferring files end of this month to Citizens Advice) - can only hope this will bring fresh and renewed strength when dealing with these lenders

Lets use it maybe that could be a point of call now?

Hope this gets a resolution x

Thanks guys for your replies, i fell asleep, worn out with this whole situation. I'm going to do everything today and complain to all who will listen. I've just received a lovely good morning email from my lovely friends. Hi unhappyhamster, were sorry but we tried to take your £400 payment this morning as per your instructions, it was declined, so we've taken your rollover fee instead, and please call us if you want to make further payments to your account. I've now lost the will to live..... Am i living in a nightmare now and all the emails that i've sent are just a figment of my imagination. Off for my shower , and then start my complaining. What am i to do xxx

Email laura.kent at paydayexpress as she has been dealing with my complaint. Tell her you are extremely unhappy and you are going to makea complaint to the financial ombudsman if they do not offer to help you with a repayment plan. If they still refuse then call the ombudsman who will file a complaint for you. I t took me 2 weeks of constantly emailing laura but I got the result I wanted in the end.

I know people say not to but I contacted these by telecom and never had a problems with them. When you call them play their trick and inform them you are recording the call - trust me they will watch what they say and help you. When you speak with them tell them you will make monthly payments by bank transfer (DO NOT give them your card details). Tell them you will make the payments on a set day of every month on time as long as no interest is added and the account is frozen. I seriously found these to be the easiest, along with Lending Stream, to arrange a plan with. Just be polite but stick to your offer, they do try to raise it slightly so if your intention is to make a £30 a month payment offer £20 - 25, that way when you offer slightly more it looks like you are trying your best. Also tell them you will call to review the account every 3/6 months - I did this and just increased the payment amount I pay them by £5 every 3 months. Good Luck :)

Unhappyhamster,

Get your complaints off to FOS, OFT and Trading Standards. If they're ignoring you, this is bang out of order. Use every attempt you made (phone, letter, e-mail) as evidence of your attempts to to contact them to resolve this matter in a fair and reasonable manner.

Hi guys, just thought id give you a wee update and its not good. I really now have given up the will to live! I emailed making lots of noise and i got an email back today advising me that they have taken another £120 from my account as per my instructions! It has left me with nothing. I am livid..... I had to phone, and its so frustrating.... Phoned my bank too, they said they can't do anything, totally deflated. And whats even more frustrating, the bank allowed them to take this money, i had the money sitting in my saving accounts to keep it safe, and to avoid the banks charges, i had to transfer the money. Any advice as to what to do next. Thanks. (Hope asmile is on, could do with your words of wisdom and wit) xxx

Hi hun

Sorry you still having a rough time with these @!£"*!?@ - from your choosing of words, (I may get into trouble!) aside from me praying for you and hoping the OFT does do something but enough people will have to stand and be counted I guess, :pray2: it's standard stuff I'm afraid you must get really forceful with that bank of yours, how are you getting on for a CAB appointment for some advice because I'm really not sure they would be impressed with bank in all of this, I also feel a complaint would be in order over the bank alone - again can go to the Financial Ombudsman

have you also wrote the letter that can be found in some of the CFO threads about removing instruction for future payments out of your bank if you can't change account?

Also how about talking to a journalist - make them see how stupid their being with this charade of ignoring, I was given the impression accounts of how people are having money taken in this fashion are highly sought after

Another email address enquiry@expressfin.co.uk - no guarantee it will work but worth filling this inbox to!

Try keep going kitten, there are loads of us who know what your going through, I'll hope you get a reply x
