  1. The irony Is when I started getting physical letters from them I contacted them back with my resolver case file where MyJAR accepted my new name. However because it's such a long document they haven't bothered to read through it which left us at am impasse. So your advice is to wait? I'd be surprised if they went legal for such a small balance. Thanks again.
  2. Ahh thank you so much. I changed my name a few years back and logged into my old email account they've been threatening it for about a year now and taken no action. It will be Statute barred in December I think xx Payday loans and their charges the original sum was about £200 so over 300 added
  3. Yes still suffer with bipolar just had my meds upped recently. I've just received another letter saying The next stages of recovery will include the instruction of one or both of the following:- 1 - TM Legal 2 - Verify a specialist and attend your home address. Back in 2017 after buying a "project" house (worst thing I've ever done) and having the worlds worst trademen I went manic (I suffer with bipolar) and I took out numerous loans in a short period of time. On 10th August 2020 I wrote to myjar requesting that they waive the charges, and stating that given there were so many applications it should not have been approved in the first place. Ultimately they stood by their rejection of my case. I tried to take it to the financial ombudsman but received this from them:- I have recently received several letters from ACI which I will attach Thank you for looking an hopefully you may have some advice Debt is £535 Amina ******Response from the financial ombudsman********* Thank you for contacting us about MYJAR Limited. As you may know, MyJar went into administration on 22 December 2020. Unfortunately, when a business goes into administration we’re required to stop considering complaints against it. It’s now for the joint administrators to decide whether people’s complaints about MyJar will be upheld and whether they will become a “creditor”. The joint administrators will also decide how much money any creditors will receive. What does this mean for your complaint? This means we can’t take your complaint about MyJar forward. If you would like it to be looked into as part of the administration process, you’ll need to refer it to the joint administrators.   6. I went down that route from the start and got nowhere , I work for Fedex so that is my usual route I’m assuming I might have to go legal but I’m unsure on what grounds I have
  7. They will credit 150 off the existing balance this is about 2 years old although I’ve fought them from time to time over this , but I’ve not managed to speak to a human
  8. Hello everyone, Full disclosure, I went on a night out and got absolutely sozzled a couple of years ago and crashing through life as I do I lost my phone. (un)fortunately I had mobile phone insurance so when I realised I had lost my phone I went into town to get a new sim card and then went to work to register the sim card. I reported my phone as lost. When the sim card had been activated I called a friend to let them know I had lost my phone, she was on her way to collect it, someone had found the phone and contacted her because they had found the phone (some people are nice!). The timescale between me reporting the phone as lost and phoning them to report the phone as found was 20 minutes. They lifted the bar on the original phone when I told them i'd found the phone they said they could not cancel the delivery and i was to refuse it. I went out the next day, in spite of working for a courier company (the biggest airline in the world) i try to avoid people which i'll explain later. I went shopping rather than wait into accept//refuse the delivery. No sorry we missed you card was left and there was no phone. I assumed they had managed to stop the replacement phone. Two weeks later I was in town and needed to use my phone to withdraw cash to get the bus home.. My phone had been blocked without knowledge. The insurance company and vodafone kept the phone like this for about 2 months, I was being investigated for fraud, I pleaded with them and begged them to re-instate the phone whilst they carried out their investigations they refused. After about 6 weeks or so I took out a contract with O2, and got a new phone. I was eventually vindicated and said that they could have the original phone back because their actions//inaction left me with no choice but to buy another phone, they refused, in turn I refused to pay them, they logged a default notice and billed me 576GBP till the end of term. I'm bipolar and this whole situation did not help at the time and triggered me, now i'm on the right meds and so on , i'm able to look into issues I would previously bury my head in the sand about, i've tried contacting vodafone and they've offered 150gbp. What are your thoughts please what would you do ? and where do you think i stand please. Love Amina
