Hello

I have a court case with a bank about discrimination

the Debt £2000 is being used for negotiations to settle the case,

in the mean time I been paying £50 monthly, so reducing this debt while the case is on-going.

I recently stopped monthly repayments as I cannot affort it and told them of hardship.

Bank sent a letter saying they will file a default notice against be with the Credit Reference Agencies under the Consumer Credit Agreement act.

My question:-

1) I read somewhere here, a solicitor was saying that we don't have to pay the debt while it is in disput or being used to negotiate case settlement ?

is that right ? anyone ?

Thank you
