Hi all, hoping someone can help me - i had £790 put into my account yesterday from my employer only to check yesterday morning to find £1.24 available.

This was on a friday and I flagged the concern immediately - they didnt phone me back so was on the phone again this morning only to be told they cannot even see where the money has gone. They can't see til at least monday - up until then I have to go without anything when I have children.

Am I not right in saying they have to make those funds available immediately?

The funds are showing on the account but are not available?

Can someone let me know as I have priority debts which need paying and simply cannot go for days on end without anything available.

Whats the steps if they say its been taken in error by somebody?

Hi,

How did you employer pay in the money ?

I've unapproved your duplicate thread on this matter, better sticking to one.

Regards.

Scott.

They paid in via BACS - i did dispute a transaction a while ago for £39 only to be sent a poxy claim letter in the post.

All well and good - but I have priorities and a baby girl to look after - surely these people hold a duty of care to me as an account holder!

Are you overdrawn or do you have another a/c with them such as a credit card which has monies owing? if so they may be using the right of 'set-off'.

I used to work for an Agency and sometimes although the monies had been paid in it wasn't 'released' until a specific time usually midnight Fri or noon Sat.

Obviously your money is there as it is showing on the balance. The only thing I can suggest is for you to try again later. :(

Maybe your employer missed the banks 'cut off time' on Tuesday.
