Hi all

I sent an email to three addresses mentioned in other posts and asked that my balance of 789 due next thursday be split into nine payments of around 88 pounds. I had an email back with the following inhalf an hour....

Hi *******

Thank you for your recent email. Based on your circumstances, I will place you on a new repayment arrangement taking effect immediately.

Please bear in mind your current balance has frozen at £789.90.

This outstanding balance will be divided by 9 monthly instalments of £87.77. The first instalment will be taken on the 1stMay 2011.

Please see below the further dates payments will be debited from your card. As these payments will be taken from your card, should your card be inactive you do need to let us know with the new card details.

It is very important to remind you that once you are on a repayment plan should you default on one of your repayment dates, we will allow you 6 days to try and correct the account otherwise on day 7 the system will deactivate the arrangement and will attempt to collect the full balance.

Think the point is thats the payday loans companies usually put up a fight & its never that easy!

Well done coalhammer :) Not to sure about them taking it from your card tho it will be safer if you could pay them & not let them take it for themselves cos there is some horrid stories about PDL companies dipping into peoples account.

Hope it all runs smoothly.

hi ,

Not much to be honest. I just said i was having major fniancial trouble and could i pay nine lots of 88 and they set it up. I emailed again last night to say i had to cancel my card and they immediately replied with bank details and a reference to use, been brilliant

Okay, I emailed them about my loan. I was probably a bit more abrupt than you. I told them since they ignored my previous emails that I was now only willing to pay in 6 installments over the next 6 months. They set it up! I received the email exactly worded as yours, but with my details and amounts of course. So thanks for sharing!

I've recently had a repayment plan accepted by them over 12 months. They were very easy to deal with, froze interest and have given me the relevant bank details to pay by standing order. Their bank details are:

BSC 40-06-09

Acct no 21544926

Contact phone number at Wonga was 0844 8429 110.
