Hi,

I have been with Harrington Brooks Debt Management for Approxiamtly 18 months. I am now in a position to pay off all of my creditors and cancel my debt management!!!

They took a payment from me yesterday (1st March 2011). I have checked their Terms & Conditions and all I have to do is give them notice in writing.

I however want to make sure they still distribute the payment they took yesterday as previously arranged. I would also like no further correspondence from their company.

Could anyone please help me out with a letter template or what I should say....?

Thanks in advance,

Amy_J_x :)

PS: For anyone wondering... DO NOT enter a debt management plan... not with Harrington Brooks anyway! I ended up in worse debt than when I started! Even 18 Months on!!

well done!!! I am sure that they will have to distribute the payment what is your usual payment date to creditors, would check any recent statements make sure send them letter after that date once you know they distributed the payment.

Did you use full final settlement to clear the balances did creditors reduce amoutns? Thinking goijng down this route.

Hi!

Thanks for taking the time to get back to me! :)

To be honest, there isn't a set date that the payments are sent out the my creditors! My Debt Management company have been really bad at distributing payments ontime leaving me in more debt that when I started off!! I need to write the letter today really as I am meant to give them 4 weeks notice terminating my contract...

In regards to Full & Final Settlement figures I haven't started that bit yet, but I can keep you updated! :) Thankfully my Mum acted as a guarantor for me to pay all my Creditors off!!

I owe the following amounts, do not know if it is a bit cheeky to ask for money off!!

NDR (6 Shop Direct Accounts Combined) - Approx £1600

Lloyds Credit Card - £990

Barclay Card - £200

Vanquis - £200

Capital One - £200

and a couple of Payday Loans (I know I am stupid)

Anyway, as always I would really appreciate any advice etc...

Thanks again :)
