I phoned Bob's home today to be told the sad news by his grandson. I then spoke to his wife who had seen the messages on here before he died and was pleased he had so many friends here.

I told her what a support he had been to so many and always having a laugh. She said that was typical of him and that he was always the life and soul of the party.

I can only add my own condolences to Bob's wife and family.

Rooster, you were one of a kind. RIP.

xx

For many of us, Bob was one of the first CAGgers we got to 'know'. He was always welcoming, helpful and knowledgable.

Very sad. As has been said, Bob was a top bloke, liked and respected by all.

Found my words...

They were sitting tight in my throat...

Bob, you are an angel(sp)...

I'd like, if you would kindly allow, me to say a final few words to you "To love unconditionally is the greatest gift...Laughter is a close second"...

Good bye my friend, god rest...

To Bob's family: know that your man did thousands of people proud :) *hugs*

Please pass on my sincere condolences to Bob's family.

Like most on here, I didn't know him, but his sense of humour, common sense, and down-to-earth approach to the world shone through in his work on here. His support for other people in difficult situations was immense, I had a huge respect for him and he'll be sadly missed.

All advice offered here is my opinion only based on what I would do in a given situation. If you wish to act on it you do so at your own discretion

I have no legal expertise or qualification, and give advice on the basis of my own experience and nothing else.

Indeed very sad, he will be missed here, never mind how much his family and friends will miss him.

I never met Bob in person, but when I was a member of the site team he was always courteous and helpful towards me (and of course others).

Long may the Roo's posts live on CAG.

So sad to hear the news today - Word Association will never be the same again. My heart goes out to Bob's family at this time :(

There are many people in this world who give their advice and time for free without reward and Roostie was one of them. In tears here after reading the beautiful poem he posted on the Angels thread:-

A sad loss to CAG. Rooster did so much to help people on here for many years. He will not be forgotten in a hurry.

I know he's watching the DCA's and I know if he can pull a few strings, with "the powers that be", to bring about the downfall of a few DCA's later this year, I know he will do it for us. :)

RIP Rooster. Gone but not forgotten.

:(

nothing to say

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Well Bob truly echo's what a fantastic site this is because he is one of many that are so far away yet feel so close in all our hours of need.

That I'm sure you will all agree is a fantastic achievement.

  • I Am Not There

    by Mary Elizabeth Frye (1932)

    Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sun on ripened grain.
I am the gentle Autumn rain.
When you awake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
    Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Rooster.

Rooster posted this on Charley's Angels thread when one of the Angels suffered a bereavement, it seems appropriate to post it in memory of him today.

Thats beautiful KnellyK, and a great sentiment that I think Rooster would like us to remember.

We all feel very sad at the loss of such a person as Rooster but I dont think he would want us to be sad, he will always be with us in our memories.
