How do you upload avatars on this forum? I don't get the option if I go to 'edit avatar' in user cp..

I've seen forums where the avatars and sigs are so big that it's actually difficult to find the posts. :eek:

 

That's why I turn them off.

I know what you mean, but like Dave said they have size limits here, so they'd never be distracting

I actually think that they can be helpful - for instance, there's no mistaking BF's posts, or any from bookworm or seminole.

Some of them are ok, but there are others that I find distracting. It depends on size, colours used etc I suppose. There was one in particular I saw today that led to me turning them off, but I'm not going to name names because it's my problem. As long as the option exists to turn them off I'm happy.
