I'm ashamed at the lack of people standing up. I wouldn't be surprised if half of them just want 'their' refund and don't give a toss about anyone else... :(:(:(

You and me both.

It is ridiculous that we live in a first world democratic country which values the basic human rights of its individuals yet we just ignore the suffering of normal innocent people. I really am shocked by it.

It is shocking that millions of people have suffered unjust bank charges yet only thousands of pepole speak up about it. What is even more shocking is that the people who actually want to march and solve the issue is not in the thousands or even in the hundreds but in the tens!

[End of rant]

Couldn't agree more.:(

CAG and Penalty Charges organised a rally in December 2006 at the OFT offices, and between us we mustered about 50 or 60 people to go. The thinking at the time was that being a Friday, therefore a working day, people could not necessarily attend, then there are child care issues, not to mention cost of fares etc. This clip shows the disappointing turnout, although those in attendance, some who have posted on this thread, were dedicated by their belief in this cause.

If people can't muster numbers in London, what chance in smaller cities and towns?

I don't want to dampen your enthusiasm, but much as I agree with you that a march would be brilliant, as you've found, it's not that easy to motivate others.

Hope you've found the link in my sig to a petition started by a rather determined cagger.;)
