HI,

AL declined to pay a DD due to lack of funds, the DD was for £500 and i only had £369, however I noticed that AL had taken £100 overdraft fee the day before and then im charged a 'payment review fee' of £25 for the returned DD! So their fees prevented a DD payment.

What is the best course of action?

Cheers in advance

Hi,

Not sure there's a lot you can do, I take it they informed you they were going to take the overdraft fee out on that date ?

Is this £100 deducted monthly or whats the score with it.

Regards.

Scott.

Hi Scott,

Its a fee for being over my OD limit last month, the date is unusual as before any fee had been taken in the middle of the month, my limit is £250 so not massive.

It just seems ridiculous that their fees and charges result in non payment, £100 fee just cant be justified. I wouldn't mind so much if they applied a consistent approach, some months they allow payments to go through and next time they don't!

Hi,

I'd claim these charges back, have you had anymore, if so start a claim against them.

I know what you mean about them being consistent, they are a total nightmare and law unto themselves, they make the rules up as they go along.

I was put through years of misery because of my Banks actions regarding charges ect.

They just don't give a jot.

Have you had many charges before, it's sometimes worth giving them a phone and asking them to reverse them

Regards.

Scott.
