if you look back you will see a marble cake we did . and we have done a few others no problem

also great for pastry, saus rolls, turnovers etc etc

Fray Bentos pies do great in it also

 

part baked bread

 

and yes you can use Silicone bakeware

Ah, that's what an oatcake is :)

I live in the county so they are a staple snack food lol :)

 

But 40 mins on 150 and they were perfect - used less than 5p electric to cook - woulda used well over that to use the gas cooker :eek:

Oooh, I have home-made moroccan burgers to cook off, I might do them in the halogen later on, see how they come out. 1/2 lamb, 1/2beef, so quite a bit of fat to drain, normally perfect for a BBQ for example, so... hmmmm *bookied strokes chin*

9.5 litre halogen oven jml argos, right my cooker has died caput, dead as a do do and cost a bomb to replace. Been nosing in and out of this thread for a while.

 

Does this one sound good, would be cheaper than gas oven for a while? xx

Yep. going to give it a go..Like the look of the chicken on the vegetables.

 

New gas cooker same as old 500.00 halogen cooker 59.99

 

makes sence to try as my hob is still okay on oven so can get best of both worlds for 60.00 instead of 500.00

we found xtra large egg's take 8 mins

 

left in shell, dont prick

 

WARNING they get bleeding hot , run under cold water always when you take them out

Right the 2 practice eggs - were hard boiled :)

Cooked on the high rack on 200 for 10mins :D

They have been made into egg mayonaise for sarnies later ;)

Just need to master soft boiled standard but that can wait till another day :(
